I had surgery last week..basically they grafted a plate to my fibula bone from an old accident and I'm finding it hard to run or walk for that matter...but I want to. I'm looking for a good quality elliptical machine. not wabbly but gym quality who take take 240+ lbs.

I'e tried several. The home models suck (i.e. Nordic Track, etc.) Of the professional grade I like Precor the best. Make sue you get one with an adjustable ramp and arms that is capable of programming intervals on.

Precor is good shit. I remember when buying our treadmill it was between landice and precor. We chose landice and it's been strong for 10 years now with my heavy ass on it. But precor was right there.

Any thoughts as to model #?
