well my ankle won't be "walkable" for still another 4-5 weeks. i won't be putting any weight on it until then. however i still want to workout because I was at my prime as far as strength goes and about to start my lean cycle when i injured my ankle.

as of now i am going to have some dumbells that i can adjust. i plan on doing curls (biceps), shoulder presses, as well as deltoid raises (both side and front, while sitting down) for my shoulders. i plan on doing pushups for my chest/triceps. i also plan on doing single extensions for my triceps. i also plan on doing some bent over lat pulls for my lats. i'll also be doing some crunches for my abs, as well as probably some shruggs.

however i'm not sure how heavy the dumbells go so that will limit the amount of weight i can put on them (i'm borrowing them from my bro's roomate). if the weghts only go up to like 50lbs, i plan on using them at 50lbs to do sets of probably 12 shoulder presses, and go up as i gain strength back. i also plan on using them to curl, and the extensions, as well as shrugs and lat pulls. for the deltoid raises i'll have to lower the weight of course :).

however i also had a question. how are those pullup bars? the kind you put between the doorway? has anyone used those? i want to use it for both pullups (back and bicep) as well as hanging leg lifts. however I have never used one, do they really hold up weight well? i'm about 190lbs, 5'11.

well anyone else who can suggest some more tips? i plan to go get some protein powder as well so i don't lose my mass. please, some tips/suggestions/comments are welcome.

I weighed as much as 170 in college and mine held up fine. It does get a little annoying, however, having to bend your knees while you do pull-ups

I have my pull-up bar attached between two beams in my basement, but similar concept and it works
