Fishing Pics

I was going through some of my photo albums and ran across pics of my record fish catches.

This One Weighed 55 pounds. The scrape marks on it's tail are from a larger catfish that tried to eat it.

This One weighed 65 pounds and was 48 inches long. It pulled me in and my fishing buddy had to pull me back 🙂 😀

They came from Lake Tawakoni, which is just east of Dallas, TX

Wanna go fishing?

Wow! Like they say, everything's bigger in Texas.

nope, at that size, they are really fatty. best ones to eat are between 12 and 15 inches long. 1 pound to 1.5 pounds

But these were a lot more fun to catch 🙂

Makes me mish my catfishing days in southern Kansas. Used to catch as much as a dozen a night on some occasions. Great eating, but a royal pain to clean, imo.

now come to lake lavon and go noodling 🙂, if you go on some of the backroads to the spots me and my friend go youll really see some big catfish. People put catfish heads on there fences.

Cat fish will get as big as the body of water they live in will allow.

I've heard stories of Channel Cats in the Lake Of The Ozarks that they estimated at 500 LBS!

Yeah, when I was on the playground in grade school this guy pulled up in front of the school to show someone a catfish he had caught in the river nearby. They let us go over to look and it almost filled up the bed of his pickup truck. I have no idea how much it weighed though.

Here's a pic of a real Whopper.
