During our Canada trip last summer my dad's baitcasting reel/rod combo went overboard when he lost his balance as a boat came speeding by. Despite my many attempt to retrieve it from the bottom of the lake, it has found a new watery home. I have decided to get him a new reel for father's day, and I know he's been wanting to try out a spinning rig. I, however, have never used one and I don't know what to look for. So if you have any suggestion, or can explain the different feature of a spinning reel, I would appreciate it. I'm looking to spend up to $50-60.

Me with a walleye I caught before we flew to the outpost camp
My dad with a northern and the pole before it flew over the side of the boat
