Fish Tanks?

looks nice. you can put those bamboo shoots thingies in a tank?

Are you asking if you can put bamboo in the tank? Then yep, Its safe and SOME seems to do well and grow small roots into the water. - I think there are different types of bamboo - some doing decent and some that have died off.

There are quite a few live plants that i like more than bamboo, but its still nice.

GMI - tank is 55 and i am looking to go to about 150+ within the next month or so. Its not a ton bigger space wise than the 55 and you can do so many more things with it.

The bigger they are the MORE self sustaining they are.

Starting to add more and more live plants.. only 2 fake plants left.
The blue gravel isn't doing much to advance a natural environment look.
If he likes it though, that shouldn't matter, right?

OP - are you dosing any ferts at all? There are a few different ones you might want to look into if you want more growth.

Also, have you looked into a DIY CO2 pump? This can really help a lot and is pretty inexpensive - just need an empty 2L bottle, some piping, yeast, sugar, etc. Search around on google for this.

I do like the Anacharis you've got growing in the right corner in the back 🙂

I'm setting up a breeding tank right now for some shrimp, will post pics soon 🙂

Wheres the shark?

I'm assuming he means a Bala Shark or two...they're not sharks, but they do grow rather large if you're able to sustain them...well large enough to outgrow a 50 gallon tank.

I definitely need some additional lighting and Co2 to really make the plants take off. I almost dont want to invest the money in it just yet as I am looking to go for a bigger tank first..

As far as sharks go - Gooberl is right - Bala sharks - Columbian Sharks, etc.. No great whites 😉
