Mmm bugs of the sea. Why does everyone put down fish? I <3 fish... Maybe it's because I'm Greek. :)

There is no fish that is cost-equivalent to hamburger.

But you can grill most anything. If you have "steaks" like tuna steaks, shark steaks, etc, you can just grill them like normal and serve them on a sandwich. Marinate if you like.
If you have filets, you can smash them up in the food processor and make burgers out of them or wrap them in foil and grill them. Actually, you could do this with steaks, too, but I simply could not bring myself to grind up a perfectly good tuna steak.

Screw the fish idea. You are not going to get the economical equivalent of hamburger from fresh fish, you'd have to use some pre-packaged, breaded, fish patty nastiness. Vegetarians seem to be able to put up with disgusting looking food though, like Boca burgers, so they may be able to stomach gross fish.

I thought wraps were the SOP when feeding vegetarians? Every time I see vegetarians eating, they're stuffing their faces with wraps.

My BBQ fish recipe is simple:

1x Whole Rainbow trout, gutted. stuffed with garlic , ginger and a mixed herb salad, wrap in foil cook, for 20 mins - serve with potato salad..

If weather turns bad just stick in over for 20mins instead - Always a winner

Hmmm... I was going to go kayaking tonight. Maybe I'll bring along my fishing pole and catch some dinner while I'm out there.

not to nitpick, but any fisherman who's fished for a while knows that they are called fishing rods and not poles.

Yeh, just do veggie cabobs. They don't go on buns, but they do get served on a stick. Anything served on a stick is cool in my book.

I love grilled eggplant. My mom always made them and referred to them as "the ORIGINAL veggie burger."
