I see here, that it says upgrading to firmware version 2.0 will region lock my drive. Fine, no question there, don't do the 2.0 update. My questions is, what benefit would I get, if any, upgrading to the 1.10 firmware?

I know the, "if it's not broke, ...." adage. I like to tinker, so sue me. 😉

I wouldn't flash it if you're not having any problems. The drive I got off ebay was region locked and I flashed it with the file from

HERE

I didn't have any probs. It was sort of a pain to pull the drive out & set the SCSI ID (I think it has to be ID 0).
