Is that a first world problem? That looks like a Pakistani work schedule.

would never work in a place like that and if i did and they pulled that on me i'd be looking for a new job as soon as i found out that schedule.

I worked 12 days straight and was happy to have a day off last week.

I worked two jobs awhile growing up.

And that was when I was 16.

after I got out of the Marines awhile I worked so much I can't even remember how many hours around 1984, was over 100 hours in one week. One day my wife just told them when they called he's to tired to even wake up.

I'd elaborate, but that's enough.

To be honest we have another Programer leaving the place soon, I might take some time off and look for another job as the economy picking up, but even being an old guy with a lot of skills still a bit hard to just do that these days.

i've been working 80-100 hrs a week for the last several months. it was enough to pay off all outstanding debt and save some money for a vacation. my hair literally turned gray in those months. sleep deprivation and high-level stress caused by unrealistic project deadlines, stupid business users, chatty consultants......i was glad it was over.

i'm starting back up again in September so enjoy my time here ! :)

WTF? That sucks balls. What do you do? I don't mind late shifts cause I don't like waking up early, but that schedule is totally wack.

I've worked 50+ straight days so far including weekends and holidays. I can't remember the last time I had a day off. And work just keep piling in. But I can't complain. Money is great. I'm sure it's the same for you.

That's not true, Pakistani worker would probably get a tea break.

Yea if you worked in a factory in China you wouldn't have to worry about the schedule changing all the time. You work 12 hours straight every day anyways.

I did some time like that back in my college days as a gas station attendant.

I worked several weeks straight, working at least 3 graveyards per week. The graveyards weren't that bad, but to have only a few of them each week made it impossible to adjust your sleep schedule to anything regular.

I did that while still taking classes at my university, too. For as hellish as the work schedule was -- or despite it, I suppose -- that period of my life was probably the most fun I've ever had, and I'd do it again in heartbeat.
