First week back at work and someone drank my milk! Ruined my entire day.

This is my first week back at work for winter break. I work on a floor with about 80 people and 2 small kitchen areas where people can store and heat up their lunches. I work in a secure government office.

I brought some milk for when I have cake and other little snacks that my co-workers or myself might bring in. this isn't the $1.50 a gallon regular milk. This is $4 a 1/2 gallon organic whole milk.

I brought the milk in on Tuesday and today I decided to open it (I brought in doughnuts). But when I get my milk and take off the round plastic cover (it is the kind where you pour from a plastic spout attached to the carboard box) the plastic seal was not there. Now I can't drink my milk because I don't know if it didn't come with a plastic seal when I bought it or if someone has been drinking my milk. but I'm 90% sure that someone has been drinking my milk.

I'm mostly mad because I bought the milk and I should get the first sip. I wouldn't be mad if they left me a note (which they didn't). Now that it has been opened I don't know if it is safe to drink.

and I am not going to put stuff in the milk, I'm just going to dump it out and keep my milk in the kitchen area at the far end of the office from now on.

Are you sure? I can think of a few bodily fluids that would be essentially invisible mixed in milk. :Q 😀
 
Hey, at least you can keep food in your fridge. It's been so long since the one up here has been cleaned, it smells like rotting flesh. I put a sandwich in there this morning at 7 in a gladware container, just took it out, and it tastes a bit like the fridge smells. Not enjoyable at all 🙁

I had a friend in college who was tired of his roomates drinking all the stuff he was buying and they never replaced it or paid him. So one day he dropped some syrup of ipecac in one of the drinks and left for the evening as the roomates spent the time having the heaves.
 
organic milk is milk from cows that have not been treated with hormones. There have been studies that have shown that trace amounts of the hormones in the milk end up in the milk. I don't need to be busty, thank you very much. Besides the 1/2 gallon last me more then 2 weeks because I don't drink that much milk.

it costs $3.50 - $4 for 1/2 gallon depending on where you buy it and what brand you get.

No no no. The cows are played soothing violin concertos, given weekly shiatsu massages, and given hourly positive affirmations. "Who's a pretty cow? You're a pretty cow." That's why it's $5 / pint or whatever it is. 😉

Hmmm, So, in theory, I can go to the grocery store, buy some milk, re bottle it and sell it for more?

Any newbies there? Not that it's right, but, Maybe they (or someone) thought it was company provided for Coffee or something? also whoever it was was probably oblivious to the organic thing...

Well if it's marked as certified organic, there's some laws (coming soon or recently enacted) that you'd be breaking by substituting the hormone enhanced stuff. Not sure what the penalties are, but, I'm sure it includes burning at the stake! 😛



 
send out an email to everyone, asking them if they drank the milk you had in the fridge to come and see you because the store you bought it from had a recall on it due to it being tainted with soem nasty virus. when they appear at your desk proceed to bash them on the head with the half empty milk gallon while chanting 'who has been a bad boy' proceed doign this until they are fully unconscious. 😛

we don't get free coffee here. they have a coffee club with dues and chores. I'm sure the person was fully aware that they were taking my milk.

and for repackaging regular milk as organic milk = fraud and the bottle says organic milk the organic part is clearly refering to the milk

The trick is to get the bottle of milk out of the monks! 😉

Organic milk is a bit of a scam bud, they give the cows cow hormones. Now if you have a little bovine DNA you might be effected by them. This is completely neglecting of course the fact that hormones of the animals products you consume are already present naturally.

Organic: Convincing people using nature is bad.

Organizations and countries that say rGBH is safe. Let's see, who do I trust...the regulatory and agricultural research organizations of 3 dozen countries, or some hippy trying to make a buck off of peoples fears...hmm...
