Elsa are alive again, it's like a deja vu with Visiontek.
Elsa had about 6 year warranties on most of their products - now 3 years in their new form, but went bust. I know they did at least some nVidia products in their old form, now they're back with ATi, just as Visiontek are.
ATi is getting some good names behind them it seems.

Now I can finally get the Elsa graphics card I always wanted. I don't know why, but I always wanted an Elsa card, and that it'll be ATi just makes it even better.

Well, yes and no. I don't think the camp of actual card producers has changed. Elsa never made their own cards towards their last few years. They just resold them under their own label. It was actually Visiontek that provided the cards for Elsa. In fact, my buddy's early Gladiac had "Visiontek" right on the PCB. It's doesn't seem surprising to me that Elsa would rekindle the old business partnership and re-enter the consumer graphics card market now that they're somewhat back on their feet.

I'd take ELSA over Visiontek jsut because their marketing strategy isn't lame. ;)

good point bluemax, but the truth is that visiontek has always been a pinnacle of quality products and hence elsa as well; i think their recent actions do much to reflect where the quality exists in the graphics industry at this time.

I hope this means that there will finally be an ATI driver for my Elsa Revelator 3D LCD glasses.

well quality of product which is based a large part on the technology behind it. but i mean that in the sense of end user value for the general populous and of course there are plenty of reasons one might be better of with an alternative product as well.

Definately very interesting. They're making a 9500 Pro, definately good news for mid range budget buyers with the speculation that the 9500 Pro will be > the 9600 Pro...

Ok, I just bought an Visiontek Extasy 9500 Pro. I cannot find any reviews or articles on this particular card whatsoever. Can someone tell me from earlier experience if Visiontek makes quality card? Are they reliable? and comparison with other maunufacturers is appreciated. Thx =D It is also good news that Elsa is resurrected :)
