Ok, ive made the decision to watercool my new setup. The decision was made after the fact that I'm getting ridiculously high temps with my zalman9700 and if im gonna pull out my board to reseat, i might as well do it right! Im booting into windows @ 500fsb but im stopping there because temperatures are like 50c @ idle and get up into the 70's under load. Yuck!

Anyhow, im setting my limit at around 200 bucks, and id like to get the northbridge watercooled as well. Anyone able to recommend a good kit? As a first timer should I get a pre made kit, or make my own? Resevoir type or the closed type?

any input/suggestions would be great! I'll spend a few more (key word FEW) dollars if it means crossing a threshold to something much better or something like that.

My oc's are pretty unstable past like 460fsb and i think its due to the heat so.

"200 bucks"
Sorry, couldn't recommend any rad, fan, pump, res, block combo for that price.

You may just want to stick to air. A decent rad and pump will be "200 bucks" !

Well if it makes any difference, my limit has gone up about 250 bucks. However most of the places I ended up looking are out of stock of one thing or another. Im going to go with a dangerden setup. Any objections to their maze 4 northbridge block or their TDX cpu block?

quick questions....

u cooling a Quad or a Dual? If your cooling a quad find the swiftech APEX220H2O kit with apogeeGT revision. ~ 249.99 + 24 dollar swiftech NB block at newegg.com

If your cooling a dualy
249.99 <-- get that kit

NB Block at newegg

And that. Its a little over your budget, but thats about how high end you can go on water (minus) the best radiator. But that package rad in both kits are ranked 2 with at most 2-3C MAX difference between the king thermochill.

Dont bother thinkn about getting a thermochill rad. It alone costs 100+

😀
