First Time W-Cooler Needs Advice on Case + Water Cooling Kit

Title pretty much says it all, I'm looking for a good case that houses water cooling well and a good kit to go with it. I'm going to be cooling the CPU and one GPU. Budget is pretty loose, but preferably under 400$. The case cannot be taller than 20.5" (it has to fit in my desk >.>).

Fire away! Any responses much appreciated.

look for any full tower case u want with lots of open room on the inside (without many panels dividing things and compartments) so you have maximum space for tube routing and placement of the pump/radiator.

also, you are to read up on the many water cooling FAQs all over the internet to get a gist of what parts you'll need.
we CAN throw parts at you, but that'd be pointless if you didn't know what they did.

You are in a good position cause even though the creating part of making your own loop can be fun, it can comes along with some pains. Mountain Mods is a good place to start looking for cases.

Cooling: What CPU and GPU will you be cooling?

CPU: Q6600, have it at 3.4Ghz stable, looking to go a little further with it.

GPU: By the time I get the water cooling set up, I'll have a be using a GTX 295

Well, for $400, you won't be able to cool both your CPU and GPU and buy a case. Waterblocks for the GTX295 run $180 each.

Jebus, ouch. Guess I'll be going over budget :/

What would you suggest in the case/water kit department? I'm pretty interested in the Coolermaster HAF as far as cases go, but still pretty clueless about the kits.

Oooh. You just made me so happy inside. Just to let you know its 22.7" tall.
But if you went with the HAF, you can mount a VERY NICE watercooling system internally.
Kits are generally avoided. Especially if you want to cool a CPU and GPU like the 295. You'll want to buy parts separately and build a custom loop.
I'll post some parts later.
