Hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone could recommend a case for my system and fan sizes/suggestions of fans i would need to buy as my GPU will get very hot.

I intend to run the system at at deafult settings and maybe overclock when things start to get slow in the future, my budget for a case is roughly £75 (about $115 USD) and i dont have a budget for fans.

my spec is as follows:

intel i5 3570k 3.4o ghz

ASRock z77 motherboard

Nividia GTX 680 gpu

coarsiar xms 3 2x8gb ram

segate barracuda 3TB HDD

adata xpg sx900 SSD

pioneer blue ray drive

asus wireless network card

antec vp450 psu

thanks for your help.

So you don't have the setup yet? I don't think your GPU will get so hot you need to worry about it, especially if you get one with a decent cooler. Also have you looked at the GTX 770? The 680 is last gen.

The VP450 is not enough to power that system. GTX 680 requires two PCIe connectors, VP450 only provides one. In addition, VP450's +12V is only rated for 360W, and it's a dual rail unit so using a molex->PCIe adapter is not advisable. I would get at least a 500W unit

Finally please post answers to the stickied questions on top of this forum

I agree with everything lehtv said above, and I would ask for more specifics on your parts list. Asrock makes a number of Z77 motherboards, some of which would be good choices for you and some of which would not. Also, as lehtv intimated, not all video cards are created equal. What's best is if you can provide links to the products you're looking at (especially links to the site where you're actually planning to buy.)

Have you purchased the PSU and SSD, already?

A good case will come with suitable fans, and there should be some within your budget. If you haven't yet ordered, though, fill out the sticky and let us rejigger some things.
