Just got a mobo/cpu used from a seller...

P4 2.4c
Soyo i865PE

I know the motherboard's a bit weak, but it'll have to suffice until I can afford to upgrade to a better one. Right now I'm still waiting on my OCZ PC3700 to come back from RMA so all I've got is a 512 stick of PC3200 AzenRam to tide me over...

.....what kind of settings should I set to be stable and still running peppy with what I've got right now, and what settings should I use when I get my 2 sticks of OCZ back??

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

I suggest setting the RAM chips to the laxest timing and 4:5 ratio (at least until you have 3700).

See how far you can go stable without increasing voltage to the RAM or Processor! You should get Sisoft Sandra and bench it for at least 20 minutes increasing the FSB 2 - 3 each time. Eventually the RAM will limit you.

You will likely see 240ish fsb with the 3200 @ 4:5 3-4-4-8.

If it helps I have a 2.4c @ 3.12 (260) with 4000 @ 1:1 3-4-4-8
