I just recently purchased a i7 build and would like some advice on parts for the LC. It is my first time but I would like a CPU and GPU LC with the option to upgrade to NB etc.

Specifications:

HAF 932
i7 920
EVGA x58 3xSLI (Vanilla)
2x EVGA GTX275
6GB Mushkin Ram (3x2@1600MHz)
300GB Velociraptor
500GB Western Digital
1000W Corsair HX PSU

I don't really have a budget but please be reasonable. I am NOT willing to sacrifice performance for price. Also I do not want to mod anything on this case but am willing to have things mounted on the exterior of the case. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mikey14

P.S. I HAVE read the guide to install just need some help picking parts as the sites have so many to chose from.

Well, a good option would be a dual-loop option. You can mount a 120x3 radiator up to as long as you have less than 2 optical bays (mounted on bottom bays) so you can put the barbs up front (in the back there's a PSU mount that gets in the way and you didn't want to mod. I cut mine off). And then you can also mount a 120x2 or 120x3 between the motherboard and HDD cage if you are clean enough with your wires (see LOUISSSS's build).

Pretty much, if you want to watercool, I'd say go with LOUISSS's build but make a few modifications to his part list.

Picture of LOUISSSS's Build

Pumps: 2x Swiftech MCP355 w/ XSPC Res top (Reservoir and Pump top in one. One for each loop).

Radiators: XSPC RX360 (top mount) and Swiftech MCR320 (front mount). The MCR320 is thinner, allowing it to fit up front.

CPU Block: HK 3.0, Koolance CPU 350, or Swiftech ApogeeGTZ. I would recommend the CPU 350 for the CPU only loop if you keep it a CPU only loop. Otherwise, go with the HK 3.0

GPU Blocks: EK-FC GTX 260/275/285 or Swiftech MCW60-B Rev 2. If you get the Swiftech's, you'll also have to get RAMsinks and a VRM sink for the Mosfets. Otherwise, a full-cover block is better. (I prefer the Swiftech because it is lighter and less restrictive. If you improperly install the full-cover or just over time, they will warp your card)

Barbs: DangerDen FatBoy G1/4 1/2" OD Barbs

Tubing: 7/16" Tubing (Masterkleer or Tygon). Masterkleer is a little stiffer but much cheaper.

Additives: Pentosin G11 and PTS Bionuke or just a silver coil. Either or. Personal preference really. Just put the coil in the reservoir.

That will probably run you $700+. Also, for sites, I buy the majority of my parts from jab-tech.com and the rest from sidewindercomputers.com

PCTC2: Thanks so much for that great setup. I have 1 quick question though: I cant find the Koolance CPU 350 on either of the sites you recommended.

Thanks,
