first time installing heatsink, question

Hi, im in the beginning stages of putting my new computer together, and im not sure if im supposed to apply a lot of pressure to the clip. I've got both sides of the heatsink on the two holder things for them on the motherboard, but Im not sure if im supposed to use tons of pressure on the black clip thing. I just dont want to ruin a $450 CPU lol. The heatsink is even on the CPU btw. Thanks 🙂
