Admittedly it's an Intel network driver that covers *all* supported operating systems (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD), and while I'm used to seeing other Windows drivers (especially graphics drivers) that are as mahoosive as that, network drivers tend to be comparatively tiny, I think partly in the old days it was because one would have to get the NIC driver onto a floppy disk to install it on a computer without an active NIC.
