Bought me a Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710,what a nice controller, wireless with force feedback/vibration.

First time ever on a PC I used a controller.I suck and need to learn how to use it to get all the moves down pat.

I never thought I would ever use a game-pad on the PC.I always thought it was a horrible idea to use a controller on the PC but in all truth it really is not that bad and I will go as far as saying I enjoyed using the controller.

So now I am always going to use a controller for games like Batman Arkham City and the like.

Video:Batman Arkham City Unofficial PC patch DX11 plays awesome.
1920*1080, DX11, Extreme preset, FXAA High, PhysX High,
Nvidia 290.36, PhysX 09.11.1107

LOL I had my steam key on the whole video, must not drink beer when recording a video of a game when playing with steam on.
60-100 FPS in video all the time.No stuttering in sight that I can see.Wow what a fun game to play and its absolutely stunning graphics.

A controller is great for sport, racing, and 3rd person action games.

Exactly. I don't get all the "I'm on a computer, I HAVE TO USE A KEYBOARD AND MOUSE" nonsense. Even FPSs on PC can be enjoyable with gamepad. Crysis with a 360 pad is quite awesome. Yes, I prefer the KB & M, but Crysis' implementation was incredibly noteworthy, with rumble and just about as perfect as you can get aim control for a gamepad. It's a fine example of incorporating such features into a PC game for those who want the option. Of course, I wouldn't use one in MP though lol.......

I'm specifically a pretty dedicated keyboard and mouse person though. Racing and flight sims are my exception, of which for the latter I have my Logitech G940

I bought one of those knock-off 360 wireless controller adapters for the PC awhile back from DealExtreme.com for $7 and have been using a spare 360 controller on my PC to play games on it, and I love it for a lot of games. I've been playing Skyrim with it, and, for me at least, it controls 10x better than it does with a mouse and keyboard because, well, Bethesda clearly didn't design the game for mouse and keyboard, which sucks, but it's still just as fun with the gamepad.

I try to make use of controller as much as possible. Carpel Tunnel makes it a bit painful to play many mouse-dependent games at times.

Maybe it's an age thing too. When I started gaming we only had "joysticks" and those were eight way digital devices with one button. I have tried on numerous occasions to use a modern (dual analog stick) gamepad, but I am such a spaz trying to use any of them that I quickly end up using my speedpad and mouse in short order. Trying to move with one stick and look with another just seems so weird to me with a gamepad. Strange because that's pretty much exactly what a mouse / keyboard setup is as well.

Arkham City is one of those games that IMO is better with the controller. Yes it can be played with a mouse and keyboard, but I find it much more enjoyable with a controller. Forcing yourself to use keyboard&mouse just because you're on a PC is silly if it's truly designed for a controller.

I am glad I bought a game-pad after all these years. It does still feel weird but I know for some games it is better to use a game-pad.
