First time ever I chicken out of a horror movie

I usually like watching my DVD movies in bed with nothing but the night lights. Horror movies don't bother me at all usually.

But with this "One Missed Call" korean/japanese? movie I actually chickened out 1/2 way thru. It was that scary. I thought The Ring was scary, but that's actually peanuts compared to The Grudge 2 and this movie.

Anybody watched this movie yet?

Actually had to switch from full screen down to window sized for a few of the scenes. Damn I'm such a pussie! :p

Gonna finish it in broad daylight tomorrow instead :D

ANd you don't even get a woman card. You get a two-year old toddler card to replace it!

You had better be some 5 year old girl. Wussing out on a scary movie is unacceptable for any reason. Ever.

i dunno some asian flicks get pretty damn intense.

that said, you've turned in your man card right , the point of horror is at night when it's intense and scary, that's the fun of it. I don't really like horror and avoid watching it, but if you start, you should finish (timely)

You call that pile of sh!t scary. The grudge was like 5 minutes of playing silent hill and then having no conclusion. You must be a real wuss. The last movie I watched that truly scared me was event horizon and I must have been 8 when that came out. Grow some balls....

I've not seen that film, but Stanly Kubrick's The Shining still scares me today. It's so bad thatI had to turn off the vcr during a viewing when II was home alone, 22 at the time.

Are you sure I can't have my woman card? Care to reconsider? :p

Is The Shining an import or domestic movie? Seems like horror films are the trend in Korea/Japan at the moment.

Is it too late to retract and tell you guys I was just kidding? Enh, too late eh? :( ;)

The Shining is an American film, based on a Steven King novel. However, it succeeds where most interpretations fail.

Yeah, great reason. Let's just toss the horror/psychological terror film industry out the window. Somehow some of us thought they were at least sometimes scary. Thanks for setting us straight.

not many films have made me think 'ok, that was rather unnerving' mostly they were older films, like Alien, but in more recent times, the only film that did was Event Horizon, seeing that in the cinema was spectacular, on DVD its still pretty good, but loses some of its appeal.....

the freaky part was i went to watch it with a female friend (not a date, just catching a movie) afterwards i could tell she was more than a little shaken up, so i offered to get in the cab home with her despite her living in the opposite direction to me. We got to her place and switched on the TV while drinking coffee before i made my way home, and the news was on all channels, with a banner on the bottom saying 'Princess Diana involved in car accident'........i walked home, only took 30 minutes...by the time i got home the banner changed from what i said prev to 'Diana, Princess of Wales has Died in a car accident'....

so after a freak you out film, to then see that kind of news on the TV in the early hours of the morning, was quite honestly somewhat disturbing.....certainly an 'i remember where i was when that happened' moment......
