First time DIY, what parts do I need?

For anyone who's put together several PCs on their own:

Besides the core components (listed below), what other smaller parts (cables, screws, anything) do I need to put this thing together? Assume I buy everything through Newegg and they each come with all the pre-packaged stuff you'd expect.

Looks pretty good to me.

Your case will come with a bag of screws and standoffs for the mobo.

Mobo should have some SATA cables and IDE/Floppy cables.

Might need some extra SATA cables if you bought your drives OEM, but otherwise you should be all set.

Just recently put together one myself ... looks good what you listed above.
My MB ( Asus P5B) came with all the cables i needed.

not sure you need the thermal compound, my Intel E6300 and stock cooler came with paste already applied
(unless you want to scrape off the stock compound and apply the arctic)
I (a few days later) replaced the stock with an Arctic 7 freezer pro and even that came with compound already applied.

well this is what i changed the stock to and it is working great.

was relatively inexpensive (35ish Canadian)
Has the same (stupid annoying ) push pin locking system as the stock cooler
It lines up with my rear 20cm case fan so the cooler fan airflow goes right thru the fins and out the back of the case

I have one 20cm fan at bottom front of case blowing in(across HD)
1 20cm fan on rear of case. 1 20cm fan on bottom of powersupply (Silverstone)
and 1 18cm on side of case blowing in. (sits above northbridge\Vidcard\CPU area)

Thot i mite have had a problem when installing it, it is a very tight fit with the northbridge heatsink on the P5B.
but there is about half a pubic hairs space btwn them.
