How old are you for one, are you married also? For age it's expensive till your 25 or if you married then it gets cheaper.

Well for every car I had up to turning 24 it was atleast $1000 a year just for liability. A $1000 car wont help much except that you can get just liability. My first car was a $600 81 dodge mirida when I close to 18 and I think it cost me $1300 a year.

depends on these values:
age
car type + year
area where you live
driving expereince + training (can lower it)
tickets and accidents
miles you drive

it really depends on the area. I pay 2000/yr for the two cars but my friend in SLO (200 miles from here though driving a different car and having tickets pays only 900/yr

I'm 22 and drive a 2000 Neon and a 85 chevy s-10. I pay like $1600 for both. If you are just turning 18, then your insurance wil go down after 3 years. Then it will go down again when you turn 25 and when you get married. Insurance depends are type of car more than anything else. My fiance drive a 96 Nissan Sentra and she has been driving for almost 5 years and pay more than I do.
