Hi. This will be my first pc, owning and building, so I was wondering if you guys could help me out? My goal is to have a pc that will be able to run most of the newer games, be stable, and cost less than $2100CDN (after taxes and shipping). Here is what I have so far:

Amd Athlon XP 2400+ - $265.44
Asus A7N8X Deluxe - $231.84
2x 256mb Corsair 3200 W/Silver Heat Spreader - $329.50
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 60GB - $107.09
ASUS V9280/TD GeForce4 TI4200-8X 128mb DDR - $259.28
LiteOn 52X24X52 - $94.40
Lian-Li Aluminum PC60U - $174
DELL 19" P991 Trinitron *Refurbished* - $219.00
Logitech Internet Keyboard - $25.60
Panasonic 1.44 MB High Density Floppy Drive - $18.25
Logitech MX700 Cordless Optical Mouse - $109.47
Vantec AeroFlow CPU Cooler 5600RPM - $44.80
Enermax EG451P-VE 431W W/ 2 Fans - $103.96

Total: $1982.23

Questions and comments are welcome :)

Not a bad setup, but my question is why do you need that high priced of a wireless optical mouse?
Since you are getting a corded keyboard, there is no reason to get a wireless mouse IMO.
Save yourself $50 or so and just get a corded Microsoft or Logitech optical mouse.

Hmmm, are those prices in Canadian dollars, or U.S. ? You should make it very clear in the original post, because people will start wondering what's wrong with some prices.

I would imagine those prices are in CDN, since he did mention he needs to stay under 2100CDN. Adding an ATI 9700pro (about $600 CDN) will definately put him over his limit. :)

Maybe switching to an Antec Plus1080AMG or Plus660AMG would help save enough to upgrade a level or two on the video card. The TruePower power supplies are very nice and the cases, although heavy, ventilate really well (they look sharp with black drives, by the way). If you don't need dual LAN and the S/PDIF-out of the Asus A7N8X-Deluxe, also keep the EPoX 8RDA+ in mind as an alternative, since it costs significantly less.

Enermax EG451P-VE 431W W/ 2 Fans - $103.96
Seems like slight overkill for what you've described. You'd be fine with the 365W model. That price though would have me thinking about buying that model though! That's Canadien $$$ right?

The Mobo you're looking @ is on sale here for $219. The LiteOn CDRW is also a bit cheaper. You'll have to look around, the MX700 is also a BIT lower, the Vantec HSF you want is only $37, etc...
