Here is the gaming rig I am looking at. I am trying to stay about $1200-$1300. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

Also is the PSU needed because the one that comes with my case is 450W??

I'd replace the PSU recieved with the case, if it's removable. PSU's that are delivered with cases usually suck.

I generally try to be more efficient by getting cases without PSUs. If a case does come with a PSU, you could always put the crappy PSU into a lower powered system, or keep it around as a backup / spare. 🙂

So far so good Id say. I just got my Venice 3200 to 2.5 on stock voltage (Which was actually reported as 1.38 LoL !) Just for Sh!ts and g!!gles, i did a FSB at 260 x 10 and it booted but was'nt prime stable but that wasn't with ANY adjustments. I got sick of Running Prime and Memtest when All i wanted to do is play games.I really like neo4-F because it is a platinum just without SLI and im not sure what else..they are only 85$ I think. You will love the Venice chip. Splurge and go 19inch monitor since your a gamer...And Wireless mice for gaming im not a fan of. (Batteries are pointless just get the corded mouse)

500w is cool thats what I did...gofor lots of amps on 12v line to give yourself headroom down the road.
My Rosewill is 500w 34Amps @ +12v! and has a huge blue LED lighted fan which blows DOWN straight onto my xp-90c which you NEED to get AND its quiet....
32 idle 41 after all night Prime 95 in Arizona (Ambiant is 79 f in my room)

yeah i would change the mouse to either a Razer Diamondback (i have it , i love it) or a Logitech MX 518 (others seem happy with it) as you are a gamer, and there is no point buying fancy video cards and processors, if your mouse isnt up to the task =).

Also that case is UGLY (proof here) and getting that, which includes 450w psu, AND a fortron PSU on top of it, is just a waste. I would go for either an Antec Sonata which includes an ample, good quality PSU, or get a good quality metal case without PSU (not a plasticy looking one like that one you said) with a seperate PSU.

The problem lies in the power supplies bundled with cases, not the Fortron 500w you selected. My case came with a power supply, which actually became really useful when I had a ThermalTake cop out on me 🙁 . I purchased the Fortron as a replacement, and it's an amazing powersupply, obscenely stable on all the lines, and various places have seen efficiency ratings of 80%+.
