First time builder trying to chose a case:

For the following system:

GTX460
Core i3-540
DVD writer optical drive
Samsung F3 500GB HDD
Asus P7P55D mobo
OCZ600W PSU

Basically I'd like in order of requirements...:
At least 3 front mounted USB ports
A front mounted volume wheel
Media keys
SD card reader

Looks aren't that important to me... I am just going with a black case, that's all I know.
I don't think I'll be cooling/ventilating the case much more than it already will be stock.

I really have no clue as to what to pick 🙁 Budget for the case alone could jump to about 60 euros to get something decent I could reuse...

These sound more like features you'd find on a keyboard then on a case.

Car readers are more of an addon.

Wow good point... I never had a desktop in fact so I have a hard time visualizing a keyboard with actual functions (work keyboard = blandest of the bland).

dunno about prices in europe, but the antec 300 or coolermaster 690 are decent cases in that price range (US).

Ah good call! The Antec 300 is available from Amazon.de for 58 euros. In the basket 🙂
