This is my first time building a gaming pc and I have been doing quite a bit of research. I don't think I will be doing any OCing but here is what I am looking at. Thanks in advance

i might try a MSI if u dont want to OC...very good board (i love the DFI, but not for newbs)

if you get the dfi board, and the 3200 venice, and dont overclock, that would be a total shame :( get a really cheap mobo and a 3700+ SD. also, get the s-12 430. and, get corsair value select instead of kingston.

Epox has some lower priced motherboards that work well too. They're even fairly overclocker friendly.

I second the others on mobo, go DFI if you think you might want to o/c (and you probably will eventually :), otherwise look at some less expensive boards like Epox. Also, why are you getting a DVD burner and a regular DVD reader? Your burner will read too ... in fact, I'd recommend a Lite-on burder over the nec. Rest sounds good to me - enjoy!

seriously. when i got my comp, i never thought i would oc, but its like, holy crap, i paid $200 for this processor running at 2000mhz, and all these people have them running past 2.7! they will out perform my computer for the same amount of mony for sure!!! must...not...let...that...happen.... so, i started overclocking like mad. its hard to stop/not do. get a dfi, learn up, and save $700 on an fx-57
