Sure, create a thread about that. I've been against everything from the patriot act to illegal spying on american citizens, to the TSA body scanners, to this. The republicans used 9/11 and the fear it produced to start the process of a police state on America.. and continued doing so for 6 years. It doesn't surprise me at all that it continues now. Did you rally against it all back then, because I don't seem to recall you doing so.

Did you miss what you quoted? Republicans already DID pass these bills. There is no might.

What do you expect from a person who places OWS on the same level with major US rights movements (civil, womens, labor...) in last century? He believes that OWS's arrests will have the same impact as the civil rights arrests in the 60's. He also believes that boogieman bank executives single handedly caused the economic collapse yet can't name the first one.

Oh, and you can't expect to take seriously a guy that is such a coward that he refused 5 times in a row to answer the simple question as to whether bank executives played a major cause in the economic collapse.

A coward who prefers to never answer anything directly, so he could always change the goalposts in the future as it suits him.

Republicans pass all sorts of bills. You made a generalized statement about religious fanatics passing bills. That is like me blabbing on about lefty lunatics passing bills aka democrats. What bills are you referring too and why do you believe the religious fanatics are why they were passed?

Instead of worrying about Republicans focusing on subjects that have little bearing on the election come November. Why dont you worry about a very real issue?

Like how this administration is laying legal framework for executing American citizens outside the country without trial.

Your poem applies to this situation a hell of a lot more than Republicans putting their foot in their mouth about birth control.

You know damn well that if it was a republican president that had killed Anwar al-Awlaki or any other "American" grown terrorist and it was democrats bringing this up, you'd be defending it as well. Its all partisan bullshit.
