i just finished it a few minutes ago...big thanks to forcesho for the scsi equipment, you rock man!

now i just need a definite answer to this thread so i know what to do with the dual psu setup to make sure i don't fry anything ;)

notice the gratitutous use of duct tape and static bags...always useful for the ghetto builder :p

EDIT:the main rig isn't quite so bad :D

jsut so you don't think i'm completley ghetto fabulous

i think this is the most i've used the word ghetto in a 2 minute period ever in my life ;)

Hah! I was using an Abit BP6 for a dual CPU Celeron server until it fried one of my Celerons (366@550MHz/100MHz FSB). Anyway, CompUSA makes drive-cage extenders that I used in my later fileserver. It was also somewhat ghetto: The drive cage made me remove the intake fan's cage so I got a slim Zalman fan and crammed it in between using zip-ties and crap to hold it to the front. Had to tap holes for it with a hammer/screwdriver and even then I had to mount it crooked (Like a diamond in front of a square opening). I then ripped out and mounted some chipset fans to blow out air from the vents over the old drive cage. I made that case last but my CMStacker is what I now call home :)

kick ass...it powers on...now it's time to see if this scsi setup is gonna give me grief

sounds awesome when all the drives spin up at once, i'm sure it'll get annoying rather quickly though LOL
