now my latest abomination...the ghetto home theatre pc...it was time for an upgrade...it was a p3 900 with 512mb of pc100

now it's an xp2000+ with 512mb of ddr and a geforce 6200

it went from this:

to this:

I liked the cardboard better. Especially if you spray a little water on it to make it wrinkle.

Should just put some clingwrap on top and you got a truly ghetto windowed system.

agreed..

It makes me want to build the most bad-ass quad core system.. overclock it like hell.. and hook the parts together with duct tape. Then, next time someone shoes me their $ripoff Alienware system that looks uber pretty, I'll show them my better piece of crap.

Is the motherboard resting on the mylar bag in the case ? Seems like that'd be somewhat "conductive". I guess you just have fun making stuff from junk whereas most would just buy a cheap case.

once, i fell out of a plane, but i happened to have my trusty dusty orange fan and a 9v battery with me, thinking quickly, i hooked the fan up to the battery and used it's awesome airflow to float safely to the ground unharmed

i then used it to chop a path through the brush to get to a main highway, by which time the battery was depleted, however it's highly visible orange exterior ensured that instead of running me down on that dark rainy night, a passing semi picked me up and took me to safety

My dorms CS server

I rigged that bad boy up when our dorm floor needed a server. Needless to say, we were short 1 computer case. The guys got a kick out of it, and it even made it onto college humor.
