ok, this is what i was planning on building for my first system, and to overclock
Celeron 566
CUSL2
IBM gx75 15gb(i think thats what it's called. it's ata 100, right?) if not then i'm going for a maxtor because they're easier to get around here
128 or 64mb generic ram(i'm tight on cash, so i don't know how big to get it. but i found a vendor that sells pc-100 and 133 at nearly the same price so i'm gonna go for the 133)
Acer or cicero 48x cd rom
sb Live! value(after i get the money, but when i first get the system, i'm running just with ram, hdd, vid card, cpu, cd rom til i get the money for the rest)
my friend's G400, or a voodoo3 3000

and eventually an NIC, maybe d-link because i have it on this system, so i can use my DSL for both machines.

any suggestions?

Just curious that why if you're starting from nothing, that you're going with a Celeron opposed to a Duron?

There's only one real reason to get a Celeron these days, and that's if you already have a board that can support it.

because i live in a small town, and don't have any way to get a duron(which i wish i could) here without ordering online, and my parents are too paranoid to order anything online. this stuff i can get at a local store, and is cheaper than ordering away somewhere. not to mention that i live in canada, and most if not all of the sites that i have been to that sell duron's are in american dollars(of course) and with the exchange rate + shipping, it's gonna cost me a heck of alot more
