First system built, first time to overclock.

hi,

i am new to this, i only just built my first PC after years of the straight of the shelf crap.

anyway, here is my system spec.

Intel E6600 C2D
Asus P5B Deluxe
Corsair XMS6400 2 X 1GB
bios: 507

i really am pretty clueless, i read alot about people changnign the FSB, VCore voltage, RAM Voltage, the FSB:RAM ratio and if anyone can give me a no BS straightup explanation of of these things and how to actively overclock the components and to test there stability, i would much appreciate that.
