Ditch that case now. It looks pretty crappy, flimsy, made of plastic, and the PSU probably won't be sufficient. Get a PSU from a reputable manufacterer, like Antec, Fotron, Sparkle, OCZ, Tagan, XClio, Enermax, etc... An nForce4 Ultra board would be much better than a VIA board, so go with one of those. The X800XL is a great buy right now, and is about equal to a 6800GT. It's only about $25 more than the X800 Pro, so I'd go with that.

What's your budget anyhow? Are you thinking about overclocking? If so, how much?

Skimping on the case is okay, I guess - but I would never skimp on the PSU. You've got some decent components there, so I would just buy a better case that comes with a good PSU (ie Antec).

If you really need to save money, try getting a Windows XP copy from somewhere else. I won't say where, but it'll save you 100 :p. I know most of the people here will yell at me for encouraging a bad habit - but if you've got a short budget and you can get the OS elsewhere..well ya know.

If you go to college/sibling who goes to college you/they can buy a cheap copy of windows xp off of the school. At my school, it costs 20 bucks for Windows XP Pro.

how big of a power supply will i need? and for the case i dont really care if it looks plain or anything because i wont take it to LAN paretys or anything i just use it at my house, so if someone can give me a link to a good case thats cheap that would be great

my budget is trying to be $900 just for the PC part, and i was planning on overclocking just the vid card(about 50 mHz more on the core and 100 mHz on the memory) and maybe oc the CPU later on

420W is good enough for most machines.

Aspire is an ok brand.. most people will say to stick with Antec, Coolmaster, and maybe a few other cases from specific manufacteurs.

The first case that came to my mind was the Antec SLK3000, its a good price for about $50 I think, except no PSU. It doesn't have a window though and that seems to be what you are looking for in a case.

Another case that I believe is recommended a lot is the Coolmaster Centurion:

this one has a window!

is it easy to install a PSU? is it just a matter of screwing it to the caase? and that cool master case is nice, very plain looking just hoiw i like it.

Exactly, just a matter of screwing it in and you are set.

The ONLY thing I do not like about that case is that it has one 80mm fan which is in the front I believe. From a sound stand point that 80mm fan will be higher pitch and louder then that rear 120mm fan. Or just try to get a nexus 80mm fan and you should be set there.

The only thing I do not know much about this case is its airflow. Someone else will have to step in here.

I personally went with the Antec P160 for its great airflow, quietness, and looks. But that is probably more then you want to spend.
