VESA Adaptive Sync is actually AMD FreeSync.
It is an optional part of the Displayport 1.2a standard.

Thanks Layer8 good find. If it is 14ms G2G that is a bit disappointing as it will not be good enough for gaming. Maybe the Samsung 32:9 will be faster? I was hoping to get an even wider option that was still viable for gaming. At the very least I would like to see a higher refresh rate for 3440x1440 with the new standard coming out. Fingers crossed for more announcements.
