First Soundcard & Surround System

Hey. I am looking for the very best speaker system I can get for under 150 bucks (shipping included). Ether you can go all out and find a sound card and surround speakers for me or I can suggest these and see if they are worth it or not:

Speakers:
Speakers (5.1)
These Speakers (5.1)

Sound Cards:
Sound Card 1
Sound Card 2

I really don't know much of anything when it comes to sound and want whats best for my moneys worth. If you guys have any suggestions, please lemme know. Thanks

Do you have integrated audio on your motherboard?

I think you'd get better final results if you invested more on the speakers and just use integrated audio rather than spending as much on the soundcard as the speakers.

If you need surrounds, you could get a z-5300e set for under $150.

If 2.0 or 2.1 will still work for you, there are better quality options like Klipsch Promedias or for a little more, Swam m200s.

Unless your integrated audio is crackly or has other problems, I think you'd be better off getting better speakers now and waiting until later to get a soundcard if you think you want one later rather than trying to squeeze both into your budget.
