Looks very good. You can get a cheaper PSu though if you'd like. The Powerstreams are very good, but an Enermax or Fortron will be cheaper and just as good IMO.
I know the prices are Canadian, but $25 for a fan is outrageous. After a quick check of those two sites, it looks as though your choices are limited for fans though.

Is there a reason you won't buy from NCIX, tigerdirect.ca, or other Canadian dealers? It would seem you can get better prices at other stores.

Edit: BTW, welcome to AT. :)

Hello.

Buy a X800GTO^2 because you can unlock it to x850XT speeds.

I think you can find a cheaper floppy

Get a SATA II hard drive

If you can afford it 2GB of ram is very very good right now.

The rest of your rig owns :D

EDIT: 80GB goes very fast nowadays. I thought 160GB would be way too much for me, but now I'm considering getting an extra drive.

assuming you live in canada...(i also live in canada), you cannot currently buy the X800GTO^2. Where are you planning on buying the parts (B&M, internet)? You can get much better deals on parts at NCIX.com, then pricematch anything you see cheaper. NCIX has very good customer service.

edit: for example, i can get (all in CAD):
3000+ Venice: $175
X800XL: $310
OCZ 2x512mb PREMIER (better than value): $119
DFI lanparty ultra-d: $145
Viewsonic G75F+B: $198
Logitech Media: $10

i would also recommend you getting the antec sonata II case...it comes with a good quality 450W psu

fans in canada cost around $18...everything is so much more expensive than in US. Just compare the 7800GTX in Canada and the one in US....

I watch NCIX.com and the pricematch thing is cool im gonna watch for it. With some little work I could save some more money

For the SATA II hard drive I don't think it makes a big difference vs Sata but at what I see the price seems to be the same so why not :)

Just too bad there's no GTO2 in Canada....

On my hard drive (40gig) I don't stock a lot's of things, I rarely goes near is limit so with a 80gig I think I would be ok.

The PSU in the SonataII (SmartPower 2.0 450W) maybe im wrong but he don't seem solid like the OCZ powerstream I choose.Maybe im wrong again but I read the dfi mobo need a solid psu to work properly and with some overclocking the powerstream gonna help better and be more stable I think.

Get a cheaper PSU. There are some really nice Fortron and Enermax models for ~$50 USD. OCZ PSU's are pretty overpriced.

If you can wait maybe a couple more weeks, try to get the Opteron 144 Socket 939. It's a San Diego core @ 2.0 Ghz, so it's basically an underclocked FX-57 for the same price of a 3000+ Venice. People are saying they overclock very well too. Tankguys has them on pre-order already.

Looks good. Like he said above, you could get a high quality PSU for less than the OCZ, like a Fortron, but nothing wrong with what you picked either.

I check some topic about the Opteron 144 Socket 939 and im gonna continue looking at it in the upcoming days. I never heard about it before but seem to be a good Oveclocker, thx for the info!

For the PSU I admit the price of the Fortron's are nice and they have great review's and feedback, Im gonna head toward this!

an antec is also a high quality psu...but if you REALLY want the highest quality, it's gonna cost A LOT more than the sonata II since the sonata already comes with a quality psu and case.

btw the prices i listed five posted above this one are actual prices taken from ncix and other stores in canada

a 8.95$ new floppy ? Montrealers always get the lowest prices ;)
You're ordering a nice machine. Unkno is right: you should look up prices online, order a few parts from the same place. I'm writing to you from a rig built up on parts bought, except the Hard drives, at 3 dealers in less than a week: Got the case on a special order from where i bought my previous machine, the CPU, mobo, DVD burner at ncix (the provincial taxes you don't pay come to about the price of shipping, and they sometimes make it 5,99$ for orders under 200 lbs) and my floppy at the local mom and pop store.

BTW, never trust price garantees from Staples and FutureShop, they don't include ncix.com, but ncix does include them in their pricematch

Loll! Yeah im going to buy 2, for games like bf2 it helps for a more smoother gaming experience I read and there's surely a couple of games to be release these years that gonna take advantage of more than 1gig.
