Hmm...a B is 80-85% correct? Does this mean that you will choose the correct thing to do 85% of the time?;)

hehe yeah

It was out of 25 questions, and i got a 23

So really it was 88%. I GOT A B! You have to get an 80% to pass... and there were like 6 people who didnt pass.

Close. :D

Good job. Each level gets harder, and harder, and harder. Like I saw in a post above, once you get to medic school, bye-bye free time. It is worth it in the end, it's great work if you can deal with it. (not just the blood etc, you do quite a bit of social work)

So paramedic911 what state are you in? Your ALS, im only BLS and not even until i finish this.... Are you a RN or a paramedic?

But yeah i do my first ride along in a little bit. I tried to get it for tomorrow but they were full. Most places wouldnt let me cause im still a minor. But I finaly got 2 companies to let me go with them. Woohoo!

I missed that part. That will not happen. Even if you get your license it takes a couple years after getting the position to be a true paramedic. I was humbled many a time in my early days... Heck, I am still learning and I have had my license since '95.

I will also mention that most medic schools wont take you unless you have two years as a street EMT first.

It is a great trip becoming a medic, but there is no waaayyyy would I want to do it again. LOL

I am ALS (that what a paramedic is), 911 responder, Las Vegas, Paramedic.

A nurse that works on an ambulance is called a MICN, or mobile intensive care nurse.
Medics are also known as MICP's in some systems.

I have a Paramedic Club on Yahoo, it is a pretty good place to ask questions or read other peoples posts. It is not only for medics, it is for all medical care providers, no matter what level. We would be happy to answer your questions or point you in the right direction over there.

My name on that is ru-serious (my Yahoo user name)

Dude! Santa Rosa?? I used to live there... My mother lived right next to the Washoe House off of 116, she just moved onto some golf course in Petaluma.

I was raised in Marin County, worked as a medic in San Fran for 2 years before moving out here to Las Vegas.

I have a really good idea for you. Get on with the Sonoma Co Sheriff's SAR explorer post, I think you have to be 15 to join. I am pretty sure they have an explorer team... You will learn a lot while working with them.

I saw the explorer program in Gernville (Sonoma County Life Support told me about them). I could join them but my schedule wouldnt work with them. I have been looking into that though cause they look like a really good program. Kenwood has a Fire Fighter Explorer Program, but im not much of a fire fighter....

Ill see about those guys. It would be sweet to get into an explorer program...
