Can you post your minimum framerate numbers from the benches?

lol Luk, its someone from our newest Anandtech cult of "Must Have Minimum Frame Rates Or Won't Know If Its Good Hardward".

A 9700 of ANY kind is a "good" card. Even if it is clocked lower - it's still faster and prettier than anything nVidia has to offer.
Period.

Hehe. Yeah, I think this card is crap, no one buy it 😀

No mang. I'm looking high and low for it but no one seems to know where to buy it?!

Near as I can tell, it only comes with Dell systems. If you type "Radeon 9700 TX" nearly every hit will also mention Dell systems.

Done that. Got pissed. 🙁 I want a 9700Tx. 🙁 Can you call them up and ask for an upgrade??

i'm getting 12671 with a XP1600+ and ge4 4400, so i would say those numbers are way slow. the cpu is oc'd to 1816 and that's over a gig difference for your extra 300 points. not bad for a $50 cpu hey 😉

Let's compare out UT2k3 benches and then we'll talk 😉 😛

I don't think you'll be saying that when I do my next round of upgrades....it's comming...hoping to see a 3Ghz+ CPU running dual channel DDR400 800Mhz FSB and overclocked too...hope they unlock the memory ratio so I can run close to spec on my ram while boosting the CPU.

Let's not get into a pissing contest here. As long as you are happy, that's what matters.

I updated the BIOS on the card to retail Radeon 9700 PRO and now I am allowed to overclock. I had two cards, the first one got to 325MHz core and 275MHz memory. Good, but not as high as I hoped. The second one that I'm using now got to 330MHz core and 290MHz memory, quite a bit better. Now my 3DMark score is 15,650, very close to you, fkloster, so I'm happy now 🙂 Here is a link to my 3DMark - link.
