Hi Folks,

First Post, Be Gentle.

Went to local Office Depot, Greenville, SC BIG Clearance Rack.

Bought Two Hughes Satelliet Receivers w/ Modem 9.95 ea.
Bought Two Fellowes PDA Keyboards sku#785 401. 2.50 ea.
Two Starlite Lamps for Computer Desk (Cool Adjustable Snakey things.) Item # ST8065 2.50 ea.

At the Counter the PDA Keyboards rang up for a penny. At first they did not want to let me have them said that meant need to be returned to Home Office.
After talking to manager Sold to me for 1/2 lowest computer documented price. $4.95

Manager state that company policy is any item showing .01 on system they are authorized to sell for 1/2 lowest marked price.

What do you mean satellite receivers with modem? Do you mean the regular DirecTV satellites boxes or the DirecPC "modem" and dish for internet service? It doesn't really matter because my Office Depot never has the clearance stuff I see posted here. I am curious though on what you got.

I guess that means you got the regular DirecTV boxes then? DirecPC is a satellite internet service that connects to the computer through something similiar to a Cable Modem. I have never heard someone describe a DirecTV receiver the way you did. People just call it a DirecTV receiver. I have been looking to add a couple of receivers to my system. The cheapest Hughes boxes I've seen lately are around $60. I don't think my Office Depot has ever carrried satellite stuff, but I guess others did because I always here about these clearance deals that I can't get.

I believe the "satellite dish" that elmo911 mention about is the direct PC (oval shaped) system. If you are lucky, you can get the direct Duo system which allow you to use with direct TV, but I am pretty sure either of Direct PC or Direct Duo comes with receiver

BTW, both direct PC and direct Duo comes with USB modem to use with the dish
