I'm confused. The only ones that look focused are the nature and normality pictures. The autofocus one isn't sharp at all. Am I missing something?

Nice camera upgrade, btw. I'm still on the original Digital Rebel.

Dude, you can take crappy pics with a much cheaper camera than a 30D...

That being said, (just for general harassment) once you get through the learning curve, we'll expect to see some QUALITY pics from you and your new toy...

nice, i just got a 30d a few weeks ago, upgraded from the rebel xt. i find myself taking lots more pictures due to the faster burst rate (5fps vs 3fps).

He's working on doing nudes at the nursing home, it's cheap doing it that way then smearing vaseline on saran warp and putting it over the lens.

Enable custom function 4 (Exposure via Shutter button half depressed / Focus via the back AE LOCK button half depressed). I use option 1 for CF4. Allows for exposure setting and focus to be done independently of each other, so you can lock exposure and recompose if needed for focusing. AE lock is the * button on the back...takes a bit of getting used to, but its nice once you do.

Example would be taking a shot in low light...you can get your exposure info from hitting the shutter release button (hold it) halfway, then compose as much as needed and focus using the * button on the back. Its very easy and useful to have those 2 functions seperated.
