I hope that's bad JPEG compression on your part from editing b/c those picture look noisy as hell.

Agreed. Some look ok but most of them look kinda bad...

Perhaps. These are some of the first shots out of the box with the settings on Automatic, I haven't gotten to play around with it and learn what the optimal settings are yet. I'm on a dialup so I converted all the files to 800x600 to make them a quicker upload. I'm uploading one at normal resolution of my girlfriend so you can see what the camera can do without possible lossy compression.

NFS4, any tips on the manual function on taking pictures using a canon G3, everytime i take pixtures i alway use the automatic function.

I wouldn't know. I use a Nikon D70 D-SLR
