Apple previously announced that they would be selling iPods at 7-Eleven convenience stores in Japan, and now Anson provides the first photo of iPods on display in a store, right next to candy. The display includes the 1 Gb shuffle, 2 Gb and 4 Gb nano, and a 30 Gb video iPod, along with some iTunes Music Store gift cards. Based on today?s conversion rates, prices are two or three dollars less than in the United States.

You'd never see that anywhere other than behind the counter or in a locked case in US 7-Elevens.

"yea let me get a pack of wraps, a box of trojan magnums and aw hell, might as well throw a 30gig ipod in there."

Because you only get slap on the wrist for stealing in the US, whereas in Japan, they cut your weewee off.

That looks like some cheap packaging. Unless those are those "FOR DISPLAY ONLY" boxes and the goods are behind the counter.

You only have elaborate blister packs the size of yoru head here to deter theft. They dont have the problem in Japan
