Just put my EP-8RDA+ / 2400 XP together...everything is fine at stock.

It'll post and boot into XP @ 2.25 GHz (133*17) with 1.675v BUT it won't finish Prime (it'll finish everything else).

I've seen people going as high as 1.8v - but how high is too high? Right now, I'm just trying to isolate the processor's max stable speed...once I find it, I'll adjust the FSB and see where that goes...

1.775 is the sweet spot actually. What type of ram do u have? I would try dropping the multi down and upping the FSB, thats where the real performance is anyway.

If 1st try didnt go so well, try again )

Thanks for the info - I was thinking ~10% was the highest I'd like to go...I'll give that a try.

I will be using FSB adjustments later...I just wanted to find the ceiling for the processor as an idea of where it'll start having problems - although changing the FSB will probably invalidate just a multiplier maximum...but I've got Mushkin 3200 - so that shouldn't hold me back.

The smart move for u would be to up the vcore to 1.775, drop the multi to 11 and up the fsb to 200 and see how that works.
If not stable, drop the fsb to 190 and go up from there. If stable @ 200fsb, then bump multi to 11.5.
I would also bump vdimm to 2.7 at the very least.

Thats how u do it bro!

I could have told u 17 x 133 at stock voltage wouldnt have worked without even trying it myself!

Would you give me the same advice for my 8RDA+? I am running into problems myself. :(

I posted to your thread :)

I believe the problem is most likely your ram!~
