First night terror

JoeKing

Lifer
It's been a fairly stressful week for me business wise and as a result I haven't been eating or sleeping too well. Last night I had my first, what I guess is called night terror because it was 10x worse than any nightmare I've ever had.

I was laying on my bed reading a book when I felt a wisp of something cross my face, I batted it away paying it no head. Then I felt another. I grabbed it this time and looked. It was the finest strand of spider web. Then suddenly thousands upon thousands of baby spiders jumped from the headboard to my feet instantly covering me completely in innumerable strands of webbing. So thick I couldn't see through them nor could I move.

I woke up screaming. But it was like I had been screaming for a while and woke in the middle of screaming. I jumped out of bed and ran across the room trying to get the strands off me and crush the spiders. Then I realized it was a dream.

I slept on the couch for the rest of the night. I hate spiders.

Neighbor even called and asked about the screaming coming from my house 😱

naw I'm going to attribute it to recent stress. I'm not going to shell out thousands on another round of shrink wrap 😛

ROFL rblow..

That sucks. I'm fine with regular old nightmares. They're scary enough. I kind of wish I had more of them because many of them would turn into lucid dreams. The reason for that is because in many of my dreams I'm being chased by somebody and for some reason I'm running at half a mile an hour. Since that's a pretty well established pattern, I'm able to figure out that I am in a dream and start controlling it.

I had a dream that I was a soldier in a desert(Iraq?) and I was chasing down a bad guy and he was hiding from me in buildings and stuff. I shot at him and grazed him. No idea why I dreamed that, wasn't really "scary", but it was very exhilirating. When I woke up from it I was wide awake, not tired or groggy, and heart was beating a little fast. The mind is a crazy thing.

Maybe I've been playing too much BF2. 😕

acid and cs/bf2 is a hell of a combo

I've had numerous where I felt like I was falling from the top of a cliff and I could feel the weightlessness sensation in my dreams. Not too unusual I guess since I fish a lot along the california coast and I climb down steep rocky cliffs a lot to get to the water.

I'm about to go sleep. Lets see if I have another one tonight. Sorta scared to sleep now.

This one'll be about clowns. And next week, I'll put one about ants in the rotation...

He's actually seeing his own death as it occurs in an alternate timeline?

you know, it's not really those big spiders that freak me out. It's those little bitty baby spiders that float around in the wind and get stuck to your clothes and face and you find them crawling over you after a run... those I hate. You just don't know where they'll go. *begins picking at ears*
