First nForce 4 motherboard?

Iwill DK8ES / Dual Socket 940 / nVIDIA CK8-04 + AMD 8131 / Extended ATX workstation motherboard [IW-DK8ES]

nVIDIA CK8-04+AMD 8131 - Dual AMD Opteron - 8x DIMM (4+4), up to 16GB ECC REG - ATI RageXL Graphics integrated - One x16 PCI-E - One x2 PCI-E (w/ x16 slot) - 1x PCI-X 64/133 - 2x PCI-X 64/100 - 4x SATA 2.0 ports w/ RAID 0,1,10 - 2x Broadcom PCI-E GbE - 10x USB2.0 - IPMI 1.5 (Option)

There is not a ck8-04 chipset with integrated graphics, so all ck8-04 boards with integrated graphics will have to use ATI(or other) solutions.

Unfortunately it seems that the second PCI-x16 physical slot on this board only offers x2 bandwidth, so not a good choice for a gaming SLI board.

man i so cant wait for real nforce boards to hit shelves, ive been putting off my 939 purchase for it.

Opteron has an ondie memory controller so the mobo really has nothing to do w/ memory support, other than having the proper slots... at this time and for the near future Opterons/A64s do not support DDR2

darn, now that would've been another excuse to get a dual cpu board 😉

X2? Where did you read that? I thought these were supposed to be X8 slots.

Yeah, I think that actually both are 16x, but plugging a card in both will slow them down to 8x.
