Just got my first NF3 board- DFI NF4X INFINITY. I went to Nvidia's site to download the latest drivers. I saw there were several different types of drivers for NF4 boards i.e. nforce4 430/410, nforce4 AMD, nforce4 AMD/Intel X16. Running an Athlon 64 3400+.

The question is- which do I use? I'm ready to slap in the new MB and anxiously await your responses before I go any further.

Why go to the nVidia site? DFI's drivers for their mainboards are as good you know... Look it up there, then you'll have no confusion...

If you do want them from nVidia, it looks like these to me... The nForce 430 and 410 are used with integrated graphics cards (e.g. GeForce 6100 and 6150)...

Prolly a decent S754 mobo...

EDIT: These are the DFI ones (it's of course the third driver... you are running XP, aren't you? ;))... They are numbered as Revision 6.53, as opposed to nVidia's 6.70, but there will probably be no difference at all... Install the DFi's and save yourself some hassle...

The only problem I've had with getting drivers from the manufacturer's site is that they often don't update the quickly. I think I have a better chance of getting the most current from nvidia. DFI latest version is 6.35

That's true, but there is probably just no difference at all... If you do care, I'd take the ones I highlighted in the previous reply...

EDIT:

Windows XP/2000 - nForce4 AMD (6.53)
Version: 6.53
Release Date: March 17, 2005

nForce4 AMD Edition - Windows XP/2000 (32-Bit)
Version: 6.70
Release Date: October 26, 2005

Hmm, you're right, some seven months is quite a difference, so just take the Nv's...
