First Netflix rental?

I had a Merry Christmas, my best friend gave me a year subsription to Netflix which is great because I have been spending way to much buying DVDs. I'm hoping to rent movies that typically I would have passed on otherwise, but may have just been diamonds in the rough. I want my first ones to be really good, no new releases or anything, those movies always blow.

The Hebrew Hammer starring Adam Goldberg. Think Blazing Saddles, only with Jews. 😀

Subtitles FTW!

These all have lush photography / cinematography even if stuff doesn't blow up real good:

Ran - Kurosawa Samurai epic
Blue (Trois Couleurs: Bleu) - first of Krzysztof Kieslowski's "three colors" trilogy
Wings of Desire - Wim Wenders

Also quite good:

The City of Lost Children - Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro
Run Lola Run - Tom Tykwer
Hard Boiled, A Better Tomorrow - John Woo
