Yep, first day was awesome for me. This day...not so well. At least I picked Northwestern St. over Iiowa. But I also had Kansas in the Final Four.

The writing wasn't exactly on the wall, but there were stains on the wall.

Consider this:
Northwestern St. won at Mississippi St. They won at Oklahoma St. They only lost by two at Wichita St.

But get this:
They played Iowa State in Hawaii and a scorekeeper's error gave Iowa State an extra point during the 2nd half. Northwestern St. went on to lose in double OT.

Northwestern St. is used to playing major conference teams away from home, and they are also one of the highest scoring teams in the nation. Iowa likes to slow it down. Nobody knows who they are and Iowa hasn't seen a fast uptempo team like that in the Big Ten. Northwestern St. had all the intangibles in this matchup. It was still a risky pick, but I didn't think it was too risky. Plus, I had Northwestern St. losing the 2nd round, so even if Iowa did lose, it won't harm me that much.

So, by using all that analysis and mumbo jumbo you deduced Northwestern would win with .4 seconds to go on a 3 point miracle shot from a guy that probably didn't see the basket ?

No, I thought that Northwestern St. would stay close and make it interesting so they might get a shot at the end. Luck took me the rest of the way.
