That first Intel P965 motherboard released yesterday at newegg. It's Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3... I don't know very much about Gigabyte motherboards but I heard some of them sucks and some of them are good so I'm not sure about this one.. seem pretty neat with new ICH8 South Bridge chipset. It's available right now at newegg. So, I'm sure that Intel P965 motherboards would be widely available probably next week or in two weeks.

I have bookmarked the page to check back later once user reviews come in - should be interesting. From a visual perspective, I wish if Gigabyte and other companies would fricken choose a coherent color scheme that would actually be more appealing instead of all sorts of colors mixed in. I am still trying to decide whether or not it is a modern art masterpiece or an epilepsy test...

i'm all over it.Waitng till august for reasonable core 2 duo prices. And the best part is it's over $100 cheaper than the ASUS P5W DH.And those 2 are the only ones which work with conroe.

I hate the fact that the newer technology mobos have less features, is there going to be an updated version of the 975X chipset released that supports DDR2-800?

I didn't know that they didn't support those FSBs?

There is only one x16 lane slot according to Newegg on this particular board, but there are other smaller PCIe slots for future use. If you are correct that they only support one GPU, I would guess that the extra x16 slot could be used for any other PCIe device or possibly another video card for multiple monitor support.

The P965 will support multi-GPU operation. The issue at this time is the second GPU would operate at PCI-E x4, which regulates this chipset to multi-monitor operations in a business setting in this case.

While i'm excited about C2D, the one thing really annoying me is how stupidly expensive the half decent motherboards are.

Also, there are like none with SLI support, & only some with CF support.

A really good motherboard is gonna cost me 250+ CND :|
Even the "cheap" decent ones are gonna be $150+ CND, & they won't have CF/SLI support 🙁

Nice mobo, but it lacks the heatpipe cooling found on the higher end Gigabyte and Asus mbs.
I suppose if you REALLY needed it, you could epoxy some aluminum sinks onto the MOSFETs.

The nf570 SLI Intel boards will be available in August with prices starting at $90 US if you are interested in SLI on Intel.
