ES are often multi-unlocked, I wonder when we will hear what kind of frequencies these things can hit on air.
5500mhz ?

This batch is labeled QAX5, is a dual-core processor and packs 4MB of L3 cache memory. The 22nm based processor have a base frequency of 1800MHz that can turbo towards 2.4GHz and come with a TDP of 95W.

Except for the 22nm and the fact that it's only a dual-core, it sounds like BD ES :D

Intel's really sticking it to AMD with their Bulldozer delay. Revenge for that meh "ours work" AMD marketing from earlier in the year I would guess.

Firrst off . TDP wouldn't be known . Second on that 2 core chip voltage is set to high. By alot ES chip or not. Looks to me like someone got a picture from a person doing debugging. and added his own story line.

It's an ES. We have no idea what its operating characteristics are. And I bet they are more or less uncorrelated with the future performance of the retail parts, too :D

(Assuming they're early ES, which if the description is anything to go by, they would have to be).

Yeah, I wasn't referring to the extra info, just the picture. Impressive that they have their 22nm with fancy gates working well enough for ES sampling.

A 1.8/2.4 GHz dualcore sounds like a low end mobile chip, and it should have a TDP of 25W at the most, certainly not 95W.

I would worry if a dual core has a 95 watt tdp.

Unless its gonna be a powerhouse of a cpu with ht support.
