If your brother/cousin/uncle/whoever got elected the President of the US, would you try to convince them to let you move in too?

Well I'm sure the President of the United States can kinda let anyone he wants, as many people as he wants, stay in the White House as it is his house.
The downside however is you live in D.C. and if you leave the White House and capitol area it is pretty much a crap hole. I sure wouldn't want to live there.

Wow that really angers me. Short of painting the White House black, that is the next best way to ghettofy the White House.

Stupid old bag should stay at her own place. :|

If I was elected president, I wouldn't think twice about allowing my grandmother to move in if she were allowed to.

If Bill can rent out rooms, Obama should be allowed to let grammy chill.

With the "ghettofied" comment he's obviously refering to a black grandmother moving into the white house. This is infact the first time that has happened. And seeing how theres a better chance of an ATOTer having sex with Jessica Alba then the USA ever having a 2nd black president. I would say this is the last time ;)

I hope Obama reads this and paints the white house black just to spite amdhunter

Correct... 4 presidential in-laws who moved to White House. Who's better to take care of her granddaughters anyway.

with two young daughters and parents who are going to be substantially more busy than they were in Chicago, it seems like a good idea.

isn't it also a plotline out of that Gina Davis tv show where she becomes president?

From what i been reading, she is there just for beginning period of girls adjustment. Once girls are fully adjusted she might go back to Chicago. Being it's his house, he sets the rules on who can stay there.

Yes, but her husband wasn't into the "tea party" aspect of being the first hubby so it became delegated to grandma.

I loved that show.

black kids being raised by their grandmother?

Are you saying this is why or making a suggestion as to why amdhunter sounds like a dipshit?

How is this different from hiring a live-in nanny to take care of their kids while they are busy? They have a right to have her there to help with their daughters, and it's MUCH better for kids to be taken care of by family than it is by outsiders.

black children being raised by a grandparent because their parents are druggies/in jail/whatever is a common ghetto stereotype.

Jackson held a large, open-to-the-public party in the White House for his inauguration, which led to rowdy, eventually very drunk, part-goers tearing the place apart.

So technically "the people" tore up the White House, but Jackson wasn't exactly blaimless.

If I was elected president, I wouldn't think twice about allowing my grandmother to move in if she were allowed to.

If you were the President, you would have significantly more power than anyone on the face of the planet. Not to mention $400,000/year, even if you do have to pay your staff from that $400k.

If I were pres, I'd buy my mother whatever house she wanted and make sure she's got everything she needs --but I'll be goddamned if she lives in the Whitehouse with me.
