First GF104 overclock!

Hey yall water leaked on my 8800 soo I got EVGA 460 1GB vanilla

Using MSI Burner

voltage 1.075

Core
900Mhz

Shaders
1800

Memory
2050

Can someone help with some input if I can go any higher on any field. I heard memory can go up to 2200Mhz but I havent tried that seems way high.

Can I push the Core/Shaders any higher?

Can I push the memory passed 2050 to 2100 or soo. Thanks a lot gg and gl,

I got my core to 625mhz, shaders 1850mhz, and my memory is at 2200mhz. I overvolted to 1087mv in MSI Afterburner.

Yeah I meant to say 925mhz.

The memory should do 2200mhz no problem; mine doesn't even have a heatsink on it and it does that speed. I have a feeling it's good for 2300mhz, I just don't want to push it too far.

My temps on idle desktop go up 6c when changing voltage from stock to 1.075

Ok I maxed out the voltage to 1.087

I got her now at

920 core 1840 shaders and 2200 video ram

my memory is 2178 so maybe you can put it more there. but my core is just 869@1.05v.

Yeah the temps go up, but it lets you get more out of the card, and even overvolted it probably uses less juice than a 470.

6C at idle sounds like a lot though. Do you have the dynamic clocking enabled in the drivers? When you overvolt the card, it should only affect the card during gaming.

Mine is idling at 30C when it's overclocked. Under full load it gets to around 60C. It has a "cyclone" cooler on it if that makes any difference.

I settled on 860Mhz at 1.075v for my SLI 460's, it seemed like a good balance of performance to fan speed, cards never go higher than 65c with fan speed staying below 70%.

Boy oh boy, tweakster here just got one of the highest GTX460 overclocks on air on our board. That's faster than an HD5870 at this point. :thumbsup:

Ya I got the plain vanilla EVGA 460 1GB .. as oCed versions are much more and all they do is raise the voltage and OC a tiny bit, I wanted the vanilla then set voltage to max 1.087 and OC her, btw sides of my case are open. I have a 120 on the RAM and mobo heatsink.

I just played 30 minutes of UT3 and no crash or artifacts.

I have to have the fan @ 100 when gaming, and 30 in desktop. I only OC when Im ready to play a game,, with MSI burner. saved profiles.. one stock and one OC. I will let yall know if any games crash or show artifacts @ these speeds.

The memory on these cards has error correction, so the only way that you know it's clocked too high is if your performance actually decreases in benchmarks.

Wow I didnt know that. I think Ill run vantage stock and ocEd and see what scores I get.
